Daftar Chat (daftar.chat), the invoice agent on WhatsApp · updated 6 November 2026 · see also the terms of use
This is a prototype entered in the Dubai Chamber Create AI Agents Championship. It uses test and sandbox services only: no invoice it prepares reaches the UAE tax authority or a real buyer.
What we receive
- Your WhatsApp number and profile name.
- The messages you send the agent, and any invoice photos or PDFs.
What we use it for
Only to prepare and check the invoices you ask for, and to reply to you. Only numbers the business owner has added, or owners who connected their own e-invoicing account, can use the agent. A message from any other number only gets a link to connect; it is not passed to the AI.
Who else sees it
- Meta (WhatsApp) carries the messages between you and the agent.
- Anthropic: Claude, the AI model, reads your messages and invoices to prepare the invoice.
- Wafeq, the e-invoicing provider (sandbox), receives an invoice only when you press Send. If you connect your Wafeq account, Wafeq keeps a coded form of your WhatsApp number with that connection (not the number itself), so the agent recognises you after a restart.
- Monthly email: if you give the agent your accountant's email (or yours), the month's invoice report is emailed there through Resend, an email service. The addresses are kept with your Wafeq connection so they survive a restart. Tell the agent to stop and it deletes them.
- Your accountant: the accountant whose email you give the agent can sign in at daftar.chat/accountant (with a code sent to that email) and see your invoices, VAT totals and files, read-only. Change or remove the email by telling the agent, and their access ends.
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your invoices, saved customers and recent messages with the agent are kept on the server's private disk, so it remembers your business after a restart. Photos and PDFs you send are not kept once the invoice is read.
If you sign in on the website, a cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. The server keeps only a scrambled copy of it and your WhatsApp number. Send "logout" to the agent on WhatsApp to sign out everywhere. Accountants stay signed in the same way, for 30 days.
When you agree to the terms (on connecting your business, or as an accountant on signing in), we keep a record of which version you agreed to and when, filed under a scrambled form of your number or email.
Deleting your information
Ask the agent on WhatsApp and we will delete it.
